Affordable Drugstore Makeup Favorites
My Affordable Drugstore Makeup Favorites
As a girl with pale, pink, and combination/sensitive/acne prone skin, here are some of my favorite affordable drugstore makeup products that work well for me<3 Some of these products I learned about from Shelby Ann on TikTok (who I definitely recommend checking out for tutorials) and some I have used for years and years!
Base Products
L’Oréal True Match Foundation and Tinted Serum
Both are buildable with the foundation having the most coverage. These products give a smooth base and somehow leave my skin nicer than when I put them on!

–
Let sunscreen and skin care sink in before applying
–
Dewy finish
–
Shades for cool, neutral, & warm
NYX The Face Glue Gripping Primer
A long lasting base starts with skin care and a good gripping primer. This one has grip, isn’t annoyingly sticky, and will hold your makeup for hours!

–
Small so it’s great for travel
–
Let it sit for a minute before next step
–
Thinner formula
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Color Corrector – as Concealer
A timeless brand and color corrector but for my skin, it works perfectly as a concealer! As a girl with a rosy complexion, this product blends seamlessly into my skin better than any normal concealer. Especially for a natural look!

–
For those with pink skin
–
Blends well with beauty blender
–
Use without foundation for natural look
L’Oréal Infallible Blur-Fection Loose Setting Powder
This powder makes my makeup last forever, hold back oil, and save you from creasing. Similar to the “pink concealer”, the light pink color gives a natural and bright finish!

–
Apply with a triangle puff
–
Disperse powder on the puff before applying
–
Wipe away access with a brush
ELF Green Color Corrector
Sometimes a skin tint or foundation isn’t enough to cancel out my redness and I need a little help. This color corrector always sits well, blends easily, and lasts forever.

–
Had this product for years and hasn’t run out
–
A little goes a long way
–
Pairs well with the pink color corrector/concealer
L’Oréal Setting Spray
Yes it looks like hairspray, yes it will lock your shit in. If you are doing your makeup and not using a setting spray, you’re going it wrong! Lock in all your hard work with a hard working setting spray.

–
Doesn’t feel wet when it goes on
–
Constant spray nozzle
–
Cheap but so so effective!
Eye and Brow Products
L’Oréal Brow Lamination
Stays on all day, doesn’t have white residue, and washes out easily. What more can you ask for:)

–
Small applicator that can bend
–
Different colors available
–
Keeps my stubborn brow hairs up
Maybelline Sky High Mascara
This makes my lashes look long and thick but doesn’t smudge on my eyelids! Especially the waterproof version.

–
Have repurchased this mascara multiple times
–
Apply slowly the first few applications to keep your lashes separated
–
Use brown for a more natural look
NYX Liquid Epic Ink Liner
This stays on all day and is incredibly easy to apply. It is a brush, not felt, but the brushes never separate or cause issues.

–
These last me forever
–
Wore to a musical festival in the Texas heat and it stayed the entire time
–
Waterproof! but I haven’t tested that out…
Lip Products
Revlon Glass Shine Lipstick
Specifically rum raisin – but overall gorgeous colors and a lovely shine with 90s vibe and adorable packaging.

–
Like a lip gloss and lip stick in one
–
Glossed Up Rose – pretty pink
NYX Duck Plump Lip Gloss
Burns but in a good way so you know it’s working? Honestly it tastes more spicy but if it works, I’m not complaining:)

–
Pretty with and without lipstick
–
Gorgeous color range
Neutrogena Lip Oil
I love anything with hyaluronic acid! Not only is it beautiful but so great for your lips.

–
Different tints

Has an unreal shine
